8 and Under Hockey
Hyland Hills Hockey Association's 8U program is based on USA Hockey's American Development Model where player FUNdamental skill development is the focus.
This program is for players who turn 8 during this calendar year (2016 Birth Year) or younger and have some skating ability.
Part 1: 8U Skills Development and Evaluation Sessions
September 3rd through September 29th, players begin skating/practicing and are evaluated to determine what level they are best suited. The foundation for player evaluations is age followed by skill level.
Part 2: 8U Team Formations
Players are assigned to teams by October 1st.
USA Hockey Membership
Before beginning this registration you will need to register with USA Hockey. USA Hockey membership fees are determined by birth year. There is also a $20 affiliate fee for the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). You will need to enter your player's USA Hockey confirmation number to begin registration for this program.
Sports Fee Insurance
We understand that unexpected events can sometimes prevent your child from completing their season. HHHA has a Zero Refund Policy. To help protect your investment in your child's hockey experience, we are offering Sports Fee Insurance provided by US Sports Club Insurance (USSCI).
This insurance covers unexpected events like injuries, illnesses, job loss, or relocation, ensuring your financial commitment is protected. With two plans available - MVP Plan at 5% and Elite Plan at 7% of club dues - you can choose the coverage that best suits your needs.
In case of a claim, USSCI will handle reimbursements directly, securing both your child’s participation and your investment. For detailed information and to purchase coverage, visit https://hylandhills.sportsfees.us/
Questions? Contact USSCI directly at 214-360-8709 or email Shelly Pope at shelly@usscinsurance.com.
This has saved families in the past, and we strongly urge every parent to get covered!
