8U Hockey
Hyland Hills Hockey Association offers a premier 8U development program for beginning hockey players. This program is for players who turn 8 during this calendar year, or younger, and have some skating ability.
HHHA follows the recommended USA Hockey ADM (American Development Model) program. Under this model HHHA offers three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
Do you offer an 8U girls program?
We have many girls who play in our 8U program but we do not currently offer all girls teams. There are however opportunities throughout the season for our 8U girls to participate in all girl events and friendlies with other area associations.
Are there goalies in 8U?
Goalies are introduced at the intermediate level and continue in the advanced level. All players in those levels will have the opportunity to try goaltending. The beginner level teams do not have goalies.
What equipment is needed?
In addition to hockey skates, full protective equipment is required to play ice hockey, Learn More
