The Hyland Hills Hockey Association is proud to present a coaching staff featuring some of the best in Minnesota hockey!
Head Instructor: Tracy Cassano
With an impressive 19 seasons as a head girls’ hockey coach in Minnesota, Tracy Cassano leads our coaching team. As the head Varsity coach for the Minnetonka Skippers, Tracy has led her teams to multiple State Tournament appearances and holds the record for most wins by a female coach in Minnesota History.
- Tracy Cassano has seen her players excel in college at prestigious Division I schools like University of Minnesota, Cornell University, and Harvard.
- Former players have also competed at the National level, representing Team USA at various age levels.
- Tracy serves as the Head Evaluation Coordinator for the Minnesota/USA Hockey High Performance Festival and Final 54 selection process, showcasing her leadership in player development.
Goalie Instructor: Lauren Bench
Lauren played for Bemidji State University (BSU), earning several accolades, including 2019 All-WCHA Third Team honors. She was also a three-time AHCA Academic All-American. Bench later played for the University of Minnesota. With her experience playing at the collegiate and professional levels as well as coaching high school goalies in Minnesota, Lauren brings invaluable expertise to elevate our goalies' skills!
Defense Specialist: Rory Guilday
Before playing for Cornell University, Rory won a gold medal with the U.S. national team at the 2020 IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championships. She has been selected for and invited to multiple USA Hockey national camps. While a two-time captain at Minnetonka High School, she earned all-state, all-conference, and all-Metro team honors twice and helped her team to two third-place finishes in the state tournament. In 2021, she won the Herb Brooks Award and was a finalist for Minnesota Ms. Hockey.
Our comprehensive coaching team also includes assistant instructors Mike Cassano, John Holmes, Lee Engstrom and Jared Rowan. Get ready for a four-day camp delivering the proven training that develops Minnesota's elite players!
